1. You were created for service. Serving is on of the purposes of your life. Jesus said:
“For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the Gospel will save it.”
Mark 8:35 (1012)

2. Serving makes you more like Jesus. Serving and giving is the very essence of Jesus. Jesus said:
“   . . .   the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for may.”
Matthew 20:28 (988)

3. Serving is the highest use of your time. Paul said:
“Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.”
1 Corinthians 15:58 (1157)

4. Serving is the ‘secret’ of greatness in the Kingdom of God. Jesus said:
“   . . .   whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,”
Matthew 20:26 (988)

4. Your service will be rewarded in heaven. Jesus PROMISED:
“I tell you the truth,” Jesus replied, “no-one who has left home or brothers, sisters, or mother, or father, or children, or fields for me and the Gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and fields – and with them persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life.”
Mark 10:29-30 (1015)

Paul said:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.”
Colossians 3:23-24 (1184)
